Mariah Carey Performs Struggling Single "You're Mine (Eternal)" at 2014 BET Honors

Mariah Carey’s new single "You're Mine (Eternal)" isn't having the best of starts. Despite the heavy promotion schedule Def Jam had line-up for the pop diva during the song's iTunes launch week, the Rodney Jerkins-produced romantic ballad is struggling; unable to rise on the Billboard Hot 100, and facing a huge embarrassment on iTunes Main Chart. Yesterday, Feb. 24, "You're Mine" was out of the Top 1000! (Thousand!).

Looking to turn things around, Mariah has begun the live performance rounds of the new single. First stop was on the 2014 BET Honors. The ceremony was taped earlier this month (on Feb. 8) and was only broadcasted last night, Feb. 24 on the American network. Watch in the video below Mariah showing cleavage and performing (live or lip-synched?) “You’re Mine (Eternal)” on top of a piano!

She just had to use playback for this performance. I mean, she didn't hold her ear when she hit her signature note! In any case, the whole "performance" was alright. I liked the "lying on the piano" moments. Mariah may have looked too “busty” (taking the focus away from the song at moments) but she is a gorgeous lady that can sing (when she wants to). "You're Mine" is going to need more television performances if it doesn’t want to flop badly. And MiMi better do it LIVE next time.

Can "You're Mine (Eternal)" still recover?
