Macklemore Addresses Trump’s Shocking Victory On New Song “Wednesday Morning”: Listen

macklemore wednesday morning

Wednesday November 9th was a tough day for many Americans. They had to wake up knowing the xenophobic and homophobic Donald Trump was going to be their next president. Rapper Macklemore was one of them. And this is what inspired this new song by the Seattle-born rap star titled "Wednesday Morning".

"We can't address the hate until we acknowledge it / If Jesus was alive, would he let Mohamed in?", raps Macklemore in the song he fully wrote and produced and released via Apple Music tonight (Nov. 17). In this lyric fragment he clearly speaks his mind on the alarming massive number of votes Donald Trump received on November 8th - despite all of the "hate" he has in his heart and mind - plus making reference to his appalling electoral promise of banning Muslims from entering the US.

The "Democrat" rapper ends his new track "Wednesday Morning" by wondering about the future his baby daughter will have to face: "Will my girl be afraid in the home of the brave?". I REALLY HOPE NOT! But that we won't know until 2020 comes...
