Listen To Alicia Keys' Inspiring New Song "Back To Life" Now!
New Alicia Keys music! And this time it is from the soundtrack of an upcoming Disney movie. And no, it’s not a happy, animated, for the kids one. It’s a drama film brought to you by Disney called “Queen of Katwe” (in theaters September 30th).
Summary of the plot:
“Queen of Katwe is the colorful true story of a young girl selling corn on the streets of rural Uganda whose world rapidly changes when she is introduced to the game of chess, and, as a result of the support she receives from her family and community, is instilled with the confidence and determination she needs to pursue her dream of becoming an international chess champion”
The new song Alicia Keys is providing to the soundtrack is entitled “Back to Life” and it got released on digital platforms today, September 2nd.
“Back to Life” is almost 5 minutes long and it’s a song where the first half hears Alicia singing acoustically only backed up by a guitar and then surprise comes in the second half when the song turns into a house anthem. Crazy, right?
Alicia’s new track is one where she demands people to really fight to thrive in this world. “Tell me baby, what stops you from wearing a crown? / I wanna be somebody / And I wanna go somewhere”, AK sings.
