Dance-pop is no longer in the path of Neon Hitch. All hail gypsy-pop now! The 28-year-old British singer – who announced in May she had parted ways with Warner Bros. Records after four years working together – premiered today, July 29th, via SoundCloud her brand new single “Yard Sale”. Neon Hitch will be releasing later this year her full-length debut album “Eleutheromaniac” independently. “Yard Sale” will be available on iTunes on August 5th, the same day the music video drops.

Let’s hold on and talk about Neon Hitch leaving Warner Bros. Records for a moment. What happened? Her two mixtapes “Happy Neon” and “301 to Paradise” were awesome! And her singles “Love U Betta” and “Gold” both reached #1 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs Chart! I know they didn’t chart on the Hot 100, but Warner should have had more patience! And should have definitely allowed Neon Hitch to release her already-finished debut album “Beg, Borrow and Steal” (now scrapped). Anyways, I wish Neon Hitch the best, and although I know she’s got mad talented, the career on an ‘independent’ artist is very tough and most of the time not very well appreciated. Hopefully she's eyed by a new major label soon!

Review of “Yard Sale”

Love it! “Yard Sale” may not be dance-pop but it’s got nevertheless all the sassiness, charisma and fun of Neon Hitch. With “Yard Sale”, the British singer debuts her gypsy-pop sound, which is so addictive and summery! In the song, the talented lyricist, sings about leaving all things negative in the past, that's what she's 'letting go of' in the 'yard sale', and just look into the future with renovated hope.

Hit or Miss?
