[Listen] Katy Perry Releases 'Official' Acoustic Version of 'The One That Got Away'

Oh lord, and the mess continues! In a new desperate attempt to get her latest single 'The One That Got Away' to be the sixth #1 from her 'Teenage Dream' album and break records in music history, Katy Perry has now officially pushed out a new version of her ballad on iTunes. After the hideous B.o.B remix, Ms Perry tries luck now with a fresh acoustic version, produced by Jon Brion (Fiona Apple, Kanye West). Ok, this is actually nice. The instrumental is warm, and flows well with Katy's vulnerable vocals. If ya like, buy it on iTunes for 99 cents. But the key matter here is, the stupid campaign Katy's label, Capitol Records, is still doing. 'The One That Got Away' dropped this week from #3 to #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, so I simply say let it be. The American audience has spoken, and they clearly don't want 'TTGA' as #1. You can release a thousand more versions, and remixes, it's just not gonna happen, gurl. Of course, this wouldn't have happened if you had released "Peacock" instead, lol.
