Listen: Coldplay - 'Ink', 'True Love' & 'O' [Full]
The last three tracks that we hadn't heard yet from Coldplay's new album 'Ghost Stories' have arrived. 'Ink', 'True Love' and 'O' have been become available for reproduction thanks to the iTunes stream of 'Ghost Stories' that the British band activated today, May 12th.
'Ink', which is the only of the three whose production/writing credits we don't know, is by far our favorite. The rapid-paced 'Ink' opens with the lyric; "Got a tattoo said 'together thru life'". Its sound is similar to that of 'Magic'.
'True Love' is a mid-tempo ballad co-produced Timbaland. That subtle but unique beatboxing could be of no other. Chris Martin describes for us his concept of true love in the lyrics; "Tell me you love me / If you don't then lie".
'O', the last and closing track of 'Ghost Stories', is a precious piano ballad in which the Coldplay frontman expresses his metaphorical love for the birds' ability to fly. "And I always look up to the sky / Pray before the dawn". 'O' is co-produced by Paul Epworth, the man behind Adele's Oscar-winning song 'Skyfall'.
