Lil Wayne Drops Flow-Assisted Single 'Off Day': Listen

Lil Wayne - Off Day

In anticipation of his upcoming album ‘Tha Carter V’, Lil Wayne has liberated a new single with past collaborator Flow titled ‘Off Day’. Produced by X Fyle, the track spans five minutes in length and has a sound reminiscent to that of Wayne’s autotune days.

‘Off Day’ is Weezy’s first release since The LOX-assisted ‘Gotti’ at the end of October. Wayne draws inspiration from iLoveMakonnen's ‘Tuesday' single on the hook rapping “cause I’m in the club going up on a weekday.” He also channels old Hot Boy partner Juvenile on the first verse using his classic 'Back That Azz Up' flow. Young Money artist Flow contributes in two verses of his own and assists Wayne on the outro. Overall a solid track but not something that is very radio-friendly or on path to be a chart topper.

Lil Wayne will be releasing his long awaited and much hyped solo LP 'Tha Carter V' in two parts. The first part is scheduled to hit retail stores on December 9th and the second part is expected out in 2015. There's no word from the Young Money camp on what part 'Off Day' is going to be placed on. Stream the new record below.
