Lady Gaga Sings 'Hair' Acapella In Calgary, Canada In Honor of Late Fan
Lady Gaga turned a sad moment into a happy one.
She was performing a concert as part of the 'Artrave: The Artpop Ball' tour in
Calgary, Canada last Sunday, May 25th, when suddenly takes hold of a letter a
fan had thrown on stage. She reads it out loud to the entire Scotiabank
Saddledome venue and cannot hold the tears coming from her eyes as she learns
of the letter’s content.
“Calgary ARTRAVE My best friend Matt was
diagnosed with cancer for the second time in October last year. He passed away
on March 26th, 2014. Lady Gaga picked up my letter and read it out loud. She
then decided to sing Hair for Matt. I also met Lady Gaga backstage after and
she is so supportive and kind. I know that sounds cliché, but it's seriously
the truth. This was the best day of my life. Thank you Lady Gaga. Video was
shot by my friend who was right beside me in the front row.", wrote Little
Monster Tyler Carr in the description of the YouTube video above.
After going through the letter, Lady Gaga did an impromptu acapella performance of ‘Hair’, one of the many cult jams on her second full-length album 'Born This Way', and one of Matt's favorite songs. My God Gaga sounded incredible!! What is she honestly waiting to permanently add 'Hair' to the setlist of 'Artave: The Artpop Ball' tour!?
