Lady GaGa Debuts 'Americano' In Mexico!
Lady GaGa performed an acoustic rendition (while playing the piano) of her new song entitled "Americano" - which will appear on her upcoming album "Born This Way", out on May 23rd - in Guadalajara during the first date of the Mexican leg of the "Monster Ball" tour - "A big mariachi techno-house record, where I am singing about immigration law and gay marriage and all sorts of things that have to do with disenfranchised communities in America. It sounds like a pop record, but when I sing it, I see Edith Piaf in a spotlight with an old microphone", said the pop star commenting on the Fernando Garibay & DJ White Shadow-coproduced "Americano" track. Yeah, I can hear the Edith Piaf influence. The song may not be commercial enough to be a single, but nonetheless an interesting record. Looking foward to check out the studio edit!
