Lady Gaga Cited As Writer of New TLC Song 'Posh Life', Demo Leaks Online
New TLC, and new Gaga! Stefani Germanotta (the real name of the 'Poker Face' star) has been announced as writer of one of the new songs from TLC's upcoming new 'greatest hits compilation' album (due October 15) that besides featuring the likes of "Waterfalls" or "No Scrubs", the set will also feature four newly recorded songs. One of them is a Lady Gaga-penned, Dallas Austin-produced cut entitled "Posh Life". Just mere hours after the TLC-Gaga collaboration was announced yesterday afternoon (July 25), an HQ demo of the "Posh Life", sung by Lady Gaga, hit the Internet. Listen to it below now!
OK, this is cute! And it's almost like Gaga was singing "Posh Life" in the manner T-Boz and Chilli would do it. She knew the track was for them, and she had the 'TLC' spirit within her at the recording booth. You can totally tell! Having just heard "Posh Life" in full, the song immediately got me thinking two things; "What kind of Cheetah Girls soundtrack song?", and "What kind of cheesy cartoon movie sountrack song?". Which do you prefer?, lol. "Posh Life" is really cheesy, but it's a cute song. The production needs a lot of work, though. Can't wait for Oct. 15 to hear what TLC and Dallas Austin have done!
