What a powerful performance! Lady Gaga is undoubtedly the voice of our generation.

The “Bad Romance” singer was one of the many performers at the 2014 Kennedy Center Honors held at the Opera House at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and aired by CBS on Tuesday night (Dec. 30).

Five were this year’s honourees: singer Al Green, actor and filmmaker Tom Hanks, ballerina Patricia McBride, singer-songwriter Sting, and comedienne Lily Tomlin.

During the Sting tribute, Lady Gaga performed an amazing cover of “If I Ever Lose My Faith In You” (from Sting’s 1993 album “Ten Summoner's Tales”).

She may have worn a ridiculous shiny grey outfit and grey wig, but our beloved Stefani Germanotta slayed nevertheless this Sting classic. U.S President Barack Obama, and his wife, First Lady Michelle Obama bopped from their seats at the Opera House's presidential box throughout Gaga's entire performance, and Sting couldn't help but to shed tears of joy from listening to Lady Gaga's emotional rendition of his song. At the end of the performance, Sting gave Gaga a long standing ovation.
