Kobe Bryant Unveils Official Cover For Lil Wayne's 'Tha Carter V' Album On Twitter
Lakers star Kobe Bryant had social media buzzing last night when he posted a picture on Twitter promoting Lil Wayne's highly anticipated 'Tha Carter V' album with the message "Carter V Season Begins". Turns out the image posted by Kobe is the official artwork for the album as confirmed by Wayne's Facebook page earlier today!
Weezy chose to go a much different direction on 'Tha Carter V' album cover compared to his earlier albums. While the previous 'Carter' projects all featured a image of Wayne, this go around the New Orleans native just placed the roman numeral 'V' (five) on a white background.
'The Carter V' is slated to be Lil Wayne's last solo studio album before his retirement. In an interview with Rap Radar's Elliott Wilson, he described his approach to the project as "if he doesn't have tomorrow". Look out for a single coming soon and check out the official cover above.
Update: According to Lil Wayne's manager Cortez Bryant, this is NOT the official cover...contrary to what YoungMoney.Com and Lil Wayne's Facebook page reported.
