Kiesza - "What Is Love" [Music Video]
Rising Canadian singer Kiesza just premiered on VEVO the music video for her cover of the 1993 Haddaway hit “What Is Love” – which is included on her debut EP “Hideaway”, available on iTunes now. This means that the only song from the 4-song EP left without a video is “So Deep”. Will Kiesza shoot a video for that song too and finally turn "Hideaway" into a bona-fide 'visual' EP? Hopefully! Although she has to be quick because it's been recently announced that her full-length debut album is coming on November 3rd!
“What Is Love” music video review
Kiesza’s version of the classic "What Is Love" isn't up-tempo but a beautifully-sung ballad. And she's shot the most perfect music video for her slowed-down cover. A topless Kiesza – although not showing the ‘chicas’ as she covers them with her arms – sings the entire song looking straight to the camera – looking super pale as ever – as a handful of also-naked men and woman stand next Kiesza's left and right with their backs turned. The video is just that. It's a slowly-opening wide shot. From Kiesza's close-up face to revealing the whole army of nakedness.
