Looks like Kendrick Lamar is going to shoot music videos for all of the tracks on his latest album “To Pimp a Butterfly”. And when I say all, I mean ALL – even the interludes! Lamar premiered official music video for “For free? (Interlude)” last night, July 31, on VEVO. I’m sure you would think a barely-over-2-minutes-long track doesn’t deserve an accompanying visual, but Kendrick’s genius mind obliges him to differ. The “For free?” interlude is a little bit crazy and a little bit out there (haven’t heard it yet? Prepare to be surprised when you hear it below – I don’t think I’ve heard the word ‘d*ck* so many times in a same song!) so I was somewhat worried about how exactly would Kendrick shoot a music video for it. But the final result is quite brilliant. He relied a bit a more on the humorous side and that was good!

Read a pretty detailed description of the “For free?” MV below:

“It starts with a woman voicing the introductory spoken word section, a long list of complaints about her "unfortunate" boyfriend, played by Lamar. He appears, face pressed to a window, and proceeds to chase her around the house while rapping and yelling, “This dick ain’t free!” Then, Lamar appears again from behind a window with a live band and pops his head into the bathroom. In the Joe Weil & The Little Homies-directed clip, Lamar takes a number of forms terrorizing his wife, who despite living in a mansion, isn't content. The visual metaphors aligns with those of the song's lyrics, both asserting his own self worth to a woman and to the marginalizing temptations of "success" in America”
