Kelly Clarkson, I mean KELEGEND Clarkson, performed a cover of Prince’s classic “Purple Rain” – originally released in 1984 back when Prince’s stage name was “Prince and The Revolution” – during the ‘fan requests’ section of her “Piece by Piece Tour” concert in Saint Paul, Minnesota at a packed Xcel Energy Center (almost 20,000 people!).
Kelly’s vocals were cray-cray and she just killed this cover. And it was only right she’d do this Prince song in Minnesota as he was born in that State. The legendary singer was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1958 and that makes him, as of this post, a 57-year-old man. And he still rocking!
