Katy Perry's third single from 'Prism' will be another Dr. Luke-Max Martin-Cirkut production. So predictable, huh? And it's...'Birthday'!
So it's "Roar", "Dark Horse" and "Birthday" now. Are you happy with the new single choice? I mean, there are so many hits waiting to happen on Katy's "Prism" that I guess it doesn't matter the order of release. She is going to get at least five more #1s!
US radios already knew "Birthday" was going to be Katy's next single. The 'spins' updates from the last weeks prove it. It was just a matter of time until 'the girl who kissed another girl and liked it' confirmed the news. And she did via Twitter last night (April 3d) by unveiling the official cover art for the very-poppy "Birthday". "In honor of #TBT may I present the cover of my NEXXXT single, BIRTHDAY", wrote the leader of the Katycats on the micro-blogging site.
The old-school 'cover' features a very young Katy, wearing a flower-patterned frock, posing not so happy for the camera. Photoshop adds the birthday CAKE.
