Can February 1 please come sooner?

We are all super excited to watch Katy Perry bring the house down during the half-time performance of the Super Bowl XLIX at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona that day.

Over the weekend, it was reported online that rock star Lenny Kravitz would be a ‘guest’ on Katy’s half-time set and that we could expect more beans to be spilled about the top-secret performance on NBC's "The Today Show" today, January 12th, during the broadcast of Katy Perry’s taped exclusive sit-down interview with co-host Willie Geist. The interview did air this morning! Watch below:

So Katy’s excited and nervous about the Super Bowl, she's a huge fan of Lenny's music, and she wouldn't trade off her fame for a 'normal' life because 'I can grab coffee for everyone' (this quote will have more meaning if you watch the full interview).

In the end of the video, Wellie Geist reveals that Katy told him off-camera that the retractable roof of the University of Phoenix Stadium will play a role on her performance. What could be? Is Katy planning to arrive to the stadium via a parachute?

Anyhow, I don’t really care how Katy arrives I just hope she includes her breakthrough hit “I Kissed A Girl” on her half-time performance setlist. She must not pay dust to the song that started it all!!!

UPDATE: In an interview with AZCentral posted last week, Katy talked watching Beyoncé's Super Bowl half-time two years ago:

"I was like a 9-year-old girl," Perry says, with a laugh, "crouched in front of the TV. I didn't even sit on the couch. I got right into the TV and sat with my legs folded and was just watching it. I didn't want to skip a beat."
