Katy Perry Gets 41 Minutes of Airtime on Australian TV Show! Watch Her Meet A Koala and Read The Weather on "Sunrise"!

Was she informed she was going to be this long on the show? Because between arriving early for make-up, and commercial breaks, she could have been inside the “Sunrise” studios well over an hour and a half. And that’s a lot of Katy Perry time.

The pop superstar is in Australia right doing promo for her latest album “Prism” as well as getting Aussie fans of her music excited so they go and get tickets for the Land-Down-Under leg of her upcoming "The Prismatic World Tour" which will be visiting the far-away country in November this year.

One of Katy’s promotional stops while in Australia was an interview on morning show "Sunrise" on Wednesday, March 5th. But, what was supposed a mere chit-chat with the show hosts was turned out by "Sunrise" into quite a major event. Staring off with greeting Katy from outside her dressing room, and walking her to the show set, to making her touch exotic Australian native animals (such as koala or wombat) or “inviting” her to read the weather (and laughing at her for her pronunciaton), Katy totally took-over “Sunrise”. She had just over 41 minutes of airtime! This better had been a good promo and a lot of “Prismatic Tour" tickets had been sold! “Sunrise” producers are probably rubbing hands right now about tomorrow’s ratings results of Katy’s episode.
