Joe McElderry Performs on The Paul O'Grady Show & Florence & The Machine on Ellen!

Joe McElderry has been busy this week making the promotional rounds in support of his new single "Ambitions" on British television. The X Factor champ stopped by on Friday at The Paul O'Grady Show on Channel 4 to give a new live rendition of the Donkeyboy cover. Pretty identical to the X Factor performance last weekend with the numerous dancers in colorful matching outfits. I like the song but seems the UK audience hasn't responded 'that' well to it. It started with the right foot last Sunday - when released digitally - but it's been falling down positions on iTunes. It's expected when the UK Singles Chart is updated in a few hours "Ambitions" will have debuted between #4 to #8. And seems Cee-Lo and Bruno Mars will fight again for the top spot. Better luck next time Joe! The artist's debut CD "Wide Awake" is out on October 25th.

Florence & The Machine performed their latest US single "Dog Days Are Over" on The Ellen DeGeneres Show earlier this week. Another big profile appearance after the VMAs and Dancing With The Stars. Their label is not playing! Florence is simply a goddess! Another brilliant performance, with a superb vocal demonstration. I wonder if they are planning to release a new UK single or if after the US promo, Florence & The Machine will finally head to the studio to work on the follow-up to "Lungs"? I want new music... :)
