Jason Derulo has touched down in London to initiate the promotion of his new UK single "Trumpets". The catchy song, whose obvious appeal are those trumpet explosions after each chorus, is featured on Jason's latest album "Tattoos" and it will be officially out in the UK on December 22. His latest single there "Talk Dirty" (feat. 2 Chainz) reached #1. Will "Trumpets" match that same success?. Jason's first promotional round for "Trumpets" was an appearance on BBC Radio 1's Fearne Cotton-hosted "Live Lounge".

At the radio show on Tuesday, December 10th, Derulo performed "Trumpets" acoustically before moving onto his "mystery cover" performance which was revealed to be a cover of Lorde's monster smash "Royals". Un-pitchy performances? That's quite a feat for Mr. Derulo! Vocally decent, indeed, but overall both performances weren't "that" exciting. "Trumpets" kicked off well, the trumpets melodies sort of put you on a good mood, but as his performance progressed, it all got a tad boring. As for "Royals", it was definitely interesting to hear Jason's rendition of Lorde's amazingly written track. Although, Jason said he just can't understand the first two lines of "Royals". Boo!
