Irish singer Hozier was the musical guest on the third episode of the 40th season of "Saturday Night Live” on October 11th. The 24-year-old performed two songs from his last month-released self-titled debut album; the hit single “Take Me to Church” (recently flawlessly covered by Ed Sheeran) and “Angel of Small Death & the Codeine Scene”.
Mr. Andrew Hozier-Byrne (aka. Hozier) looked a bit scruffy last night on SNL but that didn't prevent him from delivering two great live performances. Accompanied by his band, Hozier solidly sang “Take Me to Church” and “Angel of Small Death & the Codeine Scene” - two amazing tunes entirely written by him. “Take Me to Church” peaked #2 in Ireland, at Top 30 in the UK and Top 70 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Pretty impressive positions for a newcomer indie artist.
