Hailee Steinfeld's Debut Single "Love Myself" Is PERFECTION: Listen Now! [Premiere]
O to the M-G. Hailee Steinfeld’s debut single “Love Myself” is pure pop perfection. Republic Records made the cleverest decision signing this 18-year-old raw talent. The future certified hit “Love Myself” was written between Hailee, whom you must know from her Oscar-nominated role in the 2010 film “True Grit” and for being “The Trinity” on Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video, and Julia Michaels, and was produced by Swedish production duo Mattman & Robin – aren’t the Swedes the most genius pop producers ever? I’m amazed.
The inspiring and empowering “Love Myself” is perfect from start to finish. The verses are good, the vocals are good, and the chorus, oh my goodness, the chorus is brilliant. So chant-y! (Giving me Icona Pop vibes and I love it). Loving to the structure of the verses, and Hailee’s vocal delivery and inflections in it. I didn’t know she was a PRO already at this. However, although the song as a whole is majorly flawless and sick, it all really revolves around the chorus – which I can’t get out of my head after giving “Love Myself” like 20 straight listens. I just hope to have the opportunity to be at a Hailee concert at small venue and jam/sing the hell out of “Love Myself” along with her and the rest of the crowd. It could be epic.
