Girls Aloud's Sarah Harding Premieres Debut Solo Single "Threads": Listen Now!
The only member of extinct UK female group Girls Aloud that hadn’t properly launched a solo career, Sarah Harding, is finally putting a remedy to that. Today, July 6th, she premiered via VEVO the official audio video for her debut solo single “Threads”, which will appear on Sarah’s forthcoming debut solo... EP! Welp. Maybe a full-length album will follow if the EP smashes?
Unlike her Girl Aloud sisters who preferred to stay on the pop path, Sarah Harding tries to stand out from the ‘bunch’ by testing the waters of the ‘rock chick’ genre. That’s how she described her new sound in recent Q&A with fans.
The under-3-minutes “Threads” is all about ‘rock chick’. It’s got a rock and roll production with the addition of ‘fun’ little elements such as vocoder and electronic music-influenced moments.
Cute but I was expecting MUCH better. "Threads" sounds like a "Chemistry" reject, and it's definitely lacking a chorus.
