Florence and The Machine Debut Songs From New Album At Intimate London Show: Watch Videos

florence and the machine 2015

Florence and the Machine announced Monday that last night (March 4) they'd be performing an intimate concert at The Dome in Tufnell Park in London. Why the short notice? Go figure! Perhaps Ms. Welch had a serious craving for a live show, and looking for venues to make that happen, "The Dome" was the only in London that had a free day the soonest. Still, it sucks for the Florence and the Machine fans that do not live in London that the concert was announced so suddenly as they had clearly no chance to re-arrange their week to try to make an attendance.

At “The Dome” gig yesterday, Florence and the Machine gave the first live performance of their new single “What Kind of Man”, and ALSO debuted new tracks from their forthcoming third studio album (out in June). Ms. Welch sang: the title track “How Big How Blue How Beautiful”, “Third Eye” and “St. Jude”. And yes, they all sounded amazing! I love the kind of songs that are not only great to listen to with your headphones on but that also sound terrific in a concert mode. Serve me that loud bass!

My favourite of the 3 new songs Florence performed last night? "Third Eye" of course! I really hope it gets the single treatment later in the "era".
