Fifth Harmony & Carrie Underwood Steal The Show at 2016 CMT Awards: Watch Their Performances!

Last night the 2016 CMT Awards were held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, and it was a ceremony co-hosted by Dancing With The Stars' Erin Andrews and NFL star J.J. Watt where many music stars, from both the country and pop world, performed. Here’s the full list: Billy Ray Cyrus & Cheap Trick, Cam & Fifth Harmony, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton & Oak Ridge Boys, Jason Aldean, and Pitbull, Leona Lewis & Cassadee Pope.

Although many were the singers and bands who hit the stage at the Bridgestone Arena yesterday to treat their thousands of fans gathered at the Nashville venue with some live music, two performances really stole the show and these will be the only ones we mention here in this post. Because why lose our time with the rest, right?

Who were the show-stoppers of the night yesterday? First Cam with Fifth Harmony, and later Carrie Underwood.

In Cam’s performance with the teen pop group, she started singing his country hit “Mayday” first while at the back of the stage you could see the five members of Fifth Harmony on top of five individual platforms snapping their fingers as Cam’s song progressed. Camila and Co. would later descend onto the main stage to help Cam out up-close-and-personal with some abdlibs. When “Mayday” ended, “Work From Home”, the lead single from Fifth Harmony’s “7/27” album, started playing, and that’s where the party began. Although it was a subdued version of “Work From Home”, it was definitely more fun than what Cam did. Fifth Harmony would move around the entire stage singing “Work From Home” flaunting their beautiful matching long red dresses. Everything about this performance looked great except for one thing. Cam’s presence in Fifth Harmony’s song. It was awkward. She would move along with the girls but she wouldn’t sing at all. She just smiled, made eye contact with the girls and did a few attempts at dancing to “Work From Home”, lol. So awkward. If I had been her, I would exited the stage after my song was over.

With respect to country star Carrie Underwood, she hit the side stage right in the middle of the arena and accompanied just by a banjo guitar man she performed the latest single from “Storyteller“, “Church Bells”, wearing a dazzling see-through black dress and delivering a powerful rendition of the song with some amazing vocals.

Favorite performance?

Bonus: Pitbull's messy performance. Just for the laughs!
