“Famous” Lyrics Drama: Kim Kardashian “Exposes” Taylor Swift’s “Lies”, Taylor Releases Furious Statement!
Taylor Swift can’t catch a break.
First she was slammed by her ex Calvin Harris publicly last week for making him look as “the bad guy” in their relationship and for implying to the world that he didn’t clarify her writing credit on “This Is What You Came For” on purpose to hurt her, and now Tay-Tay has a new public enemy. And the consequences of this new war could be catastrophic for her.
Timing this “attack” perfectly for Taylor Swift’s image seems to be doing not so well right now, Kim Kardashian released via Snapchat on Sunday night (July 17) a series of audio snippets of a personal conversation between Taylor and her husband, rapper Kanye West. West and Taylor have been drama-ing in the recent months over the song “Famous” from the rapper’s “The Life of Pablo” album where he calls Taylor a “bitch”.
Taylor has always said that Kanye never had her approval to include that lyric and that she found out of this “offensive” line (“I made that bitch famous!”) once the track was released. On the other hand, Kanye’s always said that him and Taylor had an hour-long conversation over the phone about the lyrical content of “Famous” and that Taylor ultimately gave him his blessing. Drama, I know.
Well, trying clear her husband’s name for once and for all, Kim posted snippets of that much-talked about Taylor and Kanye phone conversation yesterday and you can check ‘em out below:

Uh-oh.
So Taylor did know something about this song before its release after all.
Kanye tells Taylor about the “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex” lyric over the phone and she agrees with him that it feels like a “compliment”. Taylor is heard then thanking Kanye for calling her to get her thoughts on a song of his. Audio snippets over.
What happened next? Taylor Swift released a statement via Instagram. Very rare of her.
Basically Taylor is now saying that Kanye did talk to her about “Famous” over the phone but that she was never told anything about the “bitch” line. She then calls Kim’s “exposing” of her as “character assassination”.
Oh man. I don’t know if I can believe Taylor anymore. Clearly she knew something about the song before it was revealed to the world with “Pablo”. And she thought the line “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex” was all good. She is now trying to act like nothing’s happened relying on the weak fact that in the leaked conversation snippets nowhere can be heard that she is told about the “bitch” line. But… could Kim be releasing more snippets of this conversation of the future? I don’t know. I’m confused. I always believed Taylor’s story. But this “exposing” of Taylor by Kim Kardashian has kind of made me change my mind. Maybe Taylor did know all about the song in the end and she is trying to deny it because a) she regretted her approval decision and/or b) she is trying to hurt Kanye’s image.
