Fabolous - 'Awwright' [Music Video]
While Fabolous may be done feeding his fans ‘Friday Night Freestyles’, the Brooklyn native continues to pump in new content with the release of his own rendition of Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Alright’ track re-titled ‘Awwright’.
The origins of Fabolous rapping over ‘Alright’ traces back to January of 2014. Pharrell, who produced the song, was the first to play Fab’s version during a performance at Fool’s Gold. In the end, Kendrick ended up with the record and ended up placing it on his critically acclaimed sophomore LP ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’.
Both the audio and visual to Fab’s rendition of ‘Alright’ are available below. The two-and-a-half minute clip was directed by Gerard Victor and takes place in a hotel room. No color in this one, instead an all black-and-white theme.
