Epic Records Get Paid For 'Honoring' Ciara
I could only imagine someone entering CEO L.A Reid's office at the Epic Records HQ to ask him, "Boss, we may got business, who's our one artist that's really needing money right now?", with L.A innerly thinking, "Who haven't had a hit in ages and may soon be broke?", and answering "Ciara!".
That's my only explanation for this pathetic event. On Thursday afternoon (February 7), there was an event that authorised photographers were told to be named "Epic Records Event Honoring Ciara Sponsored By Le Metier De Beaute" at Neiman Marcus's "Bar on 4". This was a bunch of random Epic Records employees (L.A Reid did not attend of course) that gathered with Ciara for a party comestics line "Le Métier de Beauté" paid Epic Records to have. Apparently, they did not care about the artist, just that it would be someone that would make paparazzi/press to come. At the lame event, we can see the "Got Me Good" singer posing and chatting with people I'm 90% sure she doesn't even know, and putting make-up on them for the joy of "Le Métier de Beauté" (wasn't the party supposed to be about YOU?). The cosmetics line's representatives in attendance also gave free make-up demonstrations to the guests. How nice!
LOL. What the heck was this foolery?. Ciara is so done. All the songs she's released so far this era, "Sweat", "Sorry", "Got Me Good" (and soon "Wake Up No Make Up") have been complete disasters. I wouldn't be suprised if her 'upcoming album' "One Woman Army" is scrapped, and she dropped. The End.
