Ginger-haired singer Ed Sheeran debuted a brand new song last Friday night (May 29) at his second and final show at Forest Hills Stadium in New York. It was a ballad titled “Sweet Mary Jane” - uh-huh, Ed sings about weed now.
Where did the British singer get the inspiration to write this guitar-driven slow jam? Amsterdam. OF COURSE IT HAD TO BE THERE! lol. He reveals it in the first verse of the song that’s where he got pretty high and where he found out “Sweet Mary Jane” had to become a close friend of his.
Either the majority of Ed’s fans packing the stadium loved the new song or many of them were weed lovers because the cheering heard at the end of the fan-recorded was pretty loud. By the way, does this mean the "X" follow-up is already in the works?
