Drake - "Energy" [Music Video Premiere!]
What just premiered tonight on Apple Music? Drake’s “Energy” music video! I didn’t see this coming at all. What a nice gift from everybody’s favorite Canadian rapper!
Produced by Boi-1da, “Energy” can be found on Drake’s “If You're Reading This It's Too Late” album, which dropped on iTunes, without prior warning – uh-huh, a la ‘BEYONCE’ – back in February (his “Views from the 6” album is still coming later this year, though. Stay tuned!).
The “Energy” music video, which premiered by surprised exclusively on Apple Music moments ago today, July 10, shows black and white scenes of Drake rapping his “Energy” verses and hooks, accompanied by his crew, at an all-white set, as well as the OVO leader making parodies of Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” music video, Kanye West’s “Bound 2” music video, Justin Bieber’s ‘Calvin Klein’ campaign, and of other relevant ‘gigs’ done by famous musicians in the latest year or so.
