Diddy & Skylar Grey Perform On 'American Idol'
Diddy, Dirty Money's Dawn and Kalenna, and for the very first time, the super talented and the girl whose debut album we better watch out for later in 2011, Skylar Grey, all joined on stage to perform "Coming Home" on American Idol last night (March 10th). The Alex Da Kid-produced track is Diddy's fourth single from his "Last Train To Paris" album and the only worldwide hit he's obtained from it. "Coming Home" cracked the Top 10 in nine countries and managed to peak at #12 in the US earlier this year. No doubt why Diddy spent some big bucks to get this American Idol slot. He wants "Coming Home" as a Top 10 hit in the United States and I think the song deserves it as well!
In any case, angelic-voiced Skylar Gray joined the Dirty Money crew for the very first time, and got her spotlight moment during the first seconds of the performance with the intro chorus. During the rest of the performance, Skylar joined voices with Kalenna and Dawn. For this ocassion, Diddy changed to song's arrangement to give it a more calmed, vocals-focused, sound. BTW, how awkward this must have been for Jennifer Lopez? Watching your exboyfriend performing that close.
