Oh, Demi, Demi, I don’t know what to say.

Wilder Valderrama’s girlfriend was a star guest on Thursday’s episode of “American Idol” on FOX, and there she performed her new single “Stone Cold” solo, and “Confident” with the remaining contestants of the very last season of the talent show.

The “Confident” performance was cute because they all looked like a big family.

The “Stone Cold” performance, though - which was the real “big” performance of the night for Demi - and for which I’m sure Hollywood/Island paid a lot - was a bit of a mess…in my humble opinion. An easy assessment of the performance could be that “Demi gave her all! and she was amazing with all that emotion she served!”, but I have to keep it real. There was too much straining throughout the whole of the performance and Demi just oversang “Stone Cold”. That’s what I think. Demi really doesn’t need all this paraphernalia to deliver a good performance. I’m starting to believe that in her mind she thinks that if she doesn’t do all this “belting”, the performance won’t “look” good. And she’s totally making a mistake. She doesn’t have to force her vocals this much. It just doesn’t sound pretty at all. She should definitely think of giving the “Stone Cold” performances a different spin. Maybe giving the song a slower version, a more intimate version, or something in that line.

Thoughts?
