Demi Lovato Covers Hozier's "Take Me To Church", Sings Acoustic Version of "Cool For The Summer" on BBC Live Lounge: Listen Now!
Demi Lovato paid a visit to the Clara Amfo-hosted “Live Lounge” show this Wednesday midday (London time). If I’m not mistaken, and after a quick search on Google, it seems this is the very first time Demi tapes an acoustic session for the popular BBC Radio 1 program. Incredible!
Demi was on this show today to properly kick off the UK leg of her European promotional tour in support of her upcoming studio album “Confident” (out in early October) that she began last week.
23-year-old Ms. Lovato first performed an stripped-down version of her newest official single “Cool for the Summer” on “Live Lounge” before doing her mandatory “mystery” cover. What she did? She opted to sing a personal rendition of Hozier’s “Take Me To Church” hit, off the Irish singer’s 2014 debut album.
I was impressed by Demi's live vocals (although she still has a work a bit more on the “control”), and by her cover choice too. Not only did she surprise me picking “Take Me To Church”, she actually SLAYED it too. I’m sure Hozier will be proud!
