It looks like donutgate isn’t a subject of the past yet.
NYC’s Power 105.1’s “Breakfast Club” presenter Charlamagne Tha God was in charge of doing red carpet interviews at the 2016 VMAs last Sunday (Aug. 28). One of the artists he had the “honor” of interviewing was Ariana Grande. And what did he ask her? About her then-about-to-happen VMA performance with Nicki Minaj, new boyfriend Mac Miller, donutgate…WAIT…what? See the video below and prepare to CRINGE:
Basically the interview was over and Charlamagne Tha God found no better way to say farewell to Ariana than to give her this piece of advice: “No pastry licking tonight”. Oh, boy. He is one bold guy. I don’t think there’s anyone in the media scene right now who could have said this to Ariana. No one.
I bet my soul Ariana was probably screaming inside… but she played it off pretty cool. “Okay, okay…I’ll take notes”, she responded.
