Confirmed: Camila Cabello Scraps Original Debut Album Title, Expect A Letter With An Explanation Soon

camila cabello new album title

In a recently surfaced interview Camila Cabello confirmed what we already suspected: that her debut solo album isn't titled "The Hurting, The Healing, The Loving" anymore. We already suspected this because rumors of it had been constant in the recent months and because Camila had mysteriously decided to not mention the old title when speaking about her upcoming album in her recent interviews, with the exception of this last one, for a French radio. The album title question was so direct that polite Camila Cabello had no other option but to utter the truth.

In recent promotional stuff Epic Records made the alleged mistake of referring to Camila Cabello's debut solo album as just "Camila". Now it's becoming clear that that could have not been a mistake after all. It's all pointing out that Camila plans to make of her debut solo album a self-titled project.

In this interview for NRJ, Camila confirmed the old title axing and promised to write a letter to her fans explaining the motives. Does this strategy sound familiar? Yes, it does because it was via a letter too posted on Instagram earlier this year that Camila announced the title of "The Hurting, The Healing, The Loving" and explained the whole theme of the album based on that title.

Clearly after the success of "Havana" Camila and Epic Records have reconsidered things. They've probably scrapped all the music recorded before "Havana" and now they're most likely focusing on recording brand new music with a similar vibe to that song, that is, more Latin influenced but sung it English. The album is expected to come out in early 2018.
