Ciara Performs On 'The Mo'Nique Show'
R&B star Ciara appeared on Tuesday's episode of 'The Mo'Nique Show' where she performed the two singles off her new album "Basic Instinct". CC tore that stage apart with some vibrant/powerful performances of "Ride" and "Gimme Dat". Can you believe this is the first TV performance of "Ride"? *sigh* Such a good song poorly promoted = me mad. Anyhow, all this promotion Ciara has been doing lately in the US seems exciting for fans but truth is, it's not helping Ciara's sales. The R&B singer appeared last week on 'Ellen' and 'Lopez Tonight', plus did random gigs, radio promo, etc...however her new CD "Basic Instinct" still BOMBED on the charts. The 11-song set debuted at #43 on Billboard with only 37,940 copies sold. Ouch. I seriously doubt she'll get a 're-release' opportunity so I'm just going to cross my fingers so "Gimme Dat" becomes a smash hit in America. Ciara's career fate depends for real this time on her fans.
