Charli XCX Does "SNL": Watch Her "Sucker" Performances!

Being honest? I don’t think Charli XCX has made enough merits to have been the musical guest on a "Saturday Night Live" episode. I don’t know if the NBC show has some sort filter to know what artists are best suited and worthy to perform live or if it's just all about the money. In Charli XCX's case I assume it was the money paid by Atlantic Records. Her debut album "Sucker” is coming out on December 16th (next week) in the USA, and with analysts saying it could sell miserably, the Warner Music Group label had no choice but to OK paying up for a Charli XCX "SNL" performance. If she doesn’t bring in the sales, “SNL” is going to undoubtedly be the last major TV show she performs on in America. Watch the bad-ass British singer's performances of her singles "Boom Clap" and "Break the Rules" on the December 13th episode (last night!) of NBC's "Saturday Night Live".

She only has “Boom Clap”. That’s been Charli XCX’s sole real hit to date and my opinion is that having just one hit and nothing else to back you up (sold out arena tour, huge album sales, winning awards, etc) don't make you worthy of "SNL". Last night on the legendary NBC show, Charli XCX looked good and did well, although she seemed really nervous. As for the setlist preference, I think it was a mistake performing the flop single “Break the Rules”. It should have been the amazing “Breaking Up” instead!
