Carrie Underwood - "Something In The Water" [Music Video Premiere!]

carrie underwood something video

Minutes after her performance at the 2014 CMA Awards on Wednesday night, Carrie Underwood premiered via Twitter the music video for “Something in the Water”. The baptism anthem is the lead single from the country star’s forthcoming first greatest hits compilation; “Greatest Hits: Decade #1”, in stores on December 9th. “Something in the Water” was premiered last September and it’s done a good job both digitally and on radios. But it’s stalled a bit now. Considering there’s been no music video in sight and Carrie’s done ZERO TV performances, no doubt why the single’s progression has stalled. Hopefully tonight’s CMA performance and the music video release will make the stunning “Something in the Water” go back to the top positions of the charts. I still think the song has much left to offer!

“Something in the Water” video review

Very simple but very strong. Carrie Underwood wears different gracious gowns as she belts out “Something in the Water” on a dark set whose floor is flooded with water and contemporary dancers dance around her. That’s it! I know it sounds too simple but this simple-ness is totally working with the baptism-theme song. The dancing, the polished look and Carrie’s beautiful shots are making this simple treatment the most perfect one for the song.

What do you think of the video?
