Carrie Underwood Debuts New Song 'Keep Us Safe' LIVE at 'An All-Star Salute to the Troops'
God saves Carrie Underwood, and keeps her (and her vocals...) safe! The American Idol alum turned country music star performed a brand new song called "Keep Us Safe" at the "ACM Presents: An All-Star Salute to the Troops" event held at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, just one day after the 2014 ACM Awards.
The LL Cool J and Chris O'Donnell co-hosted television special will air on CBS on May 20th. So we'll have to do with the fan-recorded footage below for the time being!
"Keep Us Safe" is co-written by Carrie, Luke Laird, Hillary Lindsey & Shane McAnally, and it's a song Ms. Underwood specifically recorded for this event. That voice! That force! Oh, the slayage. Dying to get the studio version of this (we need iTunes release date!), and looking forward to May 20th to see Carrie doing "Keep Us Safe" live in HD.
FYI: The lyrics are so moving, should I be a relative of a veteran or on-site US troop, my face would be a cascade of tears.
