This was unofficially announced weeks ago and now it's a reality. Camila Cabello premiered the official Spanish remix of her current pop smash hit "Havana" today on digital platforms. The remix features reggaeton and "Despacito" superstar Daddy Yankee. The Spanish remix hears Camila singing a verse in Spanish and Daddy Yankee rapping in the same language. The chorus remains intact in English (a good choice if you ask us). Camila's second verse is deleted in this remix as there was simply no room since daddy Yankee's rap is a tad long. So there will only be one Camila verse and plenty of choruses.
We love! We would say this is our favorite version of Havana ever if there had been a second verse from Camila but anyway this good. So good. We have no doubt Latin radios in the USA will love playing this - giving "Havana" more extra points to try and make its dream of going number one on the billboard hot 100 become a reality. Spain and Latin American radios will surely play the hell out of this remix too, making it more popular than the English original one hands down.
Camila sounds so good in Spanish that she should really consider recording a project in this romance language. Just look at what Becky G is achieving. Camila could quadruple that success with her star power.
Now what's missing? A music video for this "Havana" remix of course.
