Broods - "Never Gonna Change" [Music Video]
What’s with all the water? And, does this mean
they’re giving up on “Bridges”?
New Zealand duo Broods (made of siblings Caleb
and Georgia Nott) have premiered on VEVO the official music video for their new
single “Never Gonna Change”, another calm indie-pop song. I guess this means
the days of "Bridges" are officially over, huh? “Bridges” is Brood’s
very first official single, it got o the Top 10 in New Zealand, and it was
climbing positions in Australia, and everybody was thinking Broods, having now
signed deals with UK and US labels, would go to these markets to promote the
uber-amazing “Bridges”, which is one of the best songs I heard in 2012 by a
newcomer. But it turns out they’ve moving on from "Bridges” to a new
single, and that’s “Never Gonna Change”, another track from Broods’ self-titled
debut EP.
“Never Gonna Change” is amazing too but I
really thought “Bridges” would be the first Broods song to rule all over the
world, but whatever.
The music video for “Never Gonna Change” is definitely
captivating, as you want to watch the whole thing to understand the story, but
it leaves you kind of confused. I really don't get the plot. The guys escapes
from the lake, goes back to his RV where his girlfriend is, he's soaking wet, and
he doesn't stop "sweating" (?) like crazy, and he ends up returning
to the lake? Was he dreaming all? Did he die drowned?
Did you like and understand the video?
