Britney Spears: “There’s A LITTLE BIT Of Playback In My Shows”

Britney Spears just served some tea. But is it true tea or false tea?

In a very recent interview with an Israeli TV show to promote her forthcoming concert in Tel Aviv (to take place on July 3rd), pop princess Britney Spears told the reporter, when questioned about how much of her show is playback (amazing that her team would allow the reporter to ask about such a taboo topic), that she busts her ass out on the stage and sings at the same time.

Ehhh, say that again?

Here’s the full transcript and video of the awkward Q&A moment:

How much of your show is with playback, backed up with playback, how much of it is live?
I’m glad you’re addressing this question because it’s really funny – a lot of people think that I don’t sing live... Because I’m dancing so much I do have a little bit of playback, but there’s a mixture of my voice and the playback. It really pisses me off because I am busting my ass out there and singing at the same time and nobody ever really gives me credit for it.

First of all, I have to give it up to Britney for answering the question with much normalcy and not hanging up the phone to the politically incorrect reporter. But then, was her answer the truth? Let’s see. Is there a “mixture of her voice” in her recent “Everytime” performances (a ballad she should be able to sing)? Please watch:

"Little of bit of playback"?. Well, actually.... it’s all playback! (lol) And quickly watching videos from her “Piece of Me” concerts on YouTube, all I see is playback. So I can’t take Britney’s answer given to the Israeli TV show as truth. She knows she lip-syncs the whole show. And we all know it. There’s nothing wrong about it, though. We know Britney likes to lip-synch, especially a lot this “Piece of Me” residency era, and I’m actually at peace with that. Just watching Britney doing her best on the stage should be sufficient for her fans at this point of her career. But then again, why would she give false facts in this new interview? Did she feel cornered and thought this was the best answer to give to not look entirely bad? Could be…
