Britney Spears Shooting “Pretty Girls” Video THIS WEEK! “It’s A True Duet, We Both Sing The Hook”, Announces Iggy Azalea
Iggy Azalea was inquired about that duet she recorded “so many months ago” with Britney Spears called “Pretty Girls” during her interview with “Extra” at the red carpet of the iHeartRadio Music Awards over the weekend. “Pretty Girls” as you already know (right?) is going to be the first single from the upcoming Brit Brit album and, if you missed it, it recently received the official release date of May 5th by RCA Records. The song was initially intended to be on Iggy’s second album, but after some producer/label talks “Pretty Girls” ended up being an official Britney Spears song featuring Iggy Azalea and label bosses swiftly picked it as first single. Britney and Iggy on a same track? First single of course! That’s a no brainer.
Anyways, during her interview with “Extra” on Sunday night (March 29), Iggy shared a few new details about “Pretty Girls”. She confirmed Britney and her are going to shoot the music video THIS WEEK and that she (the “Fancy” rapper) is going to co-direct it. It’s going to be the first music video ever she directs for another artist (she co-directed the vids for “Trouble” and “Black Widow”). Iggy also said she called Britney (she has her personal number) to get her input for the video’s ideas so it would definitely feel “authentic” to her style. Good! So it’s going to be a Britney-approved video and I so trust Britney’s decisions.
“Extra” producer, and bona-fide Britney stan, Carlo de Santis, also had a few questions for Iggy Azalea but he made his behind the scenes. Fortunately for us, he quickly shared the answers with everyone via Twitter. His Iggy quotes give even more light to the essence of “Pretty Girls”. She told him that they both sing the chorus and that it is a “true duet”. So exciting!!!
