Beyoncé Wants You To Read This Open Letter Regarding Police Killing Black People Unjustly
By now I’m sure you’ve read all about the unjust deaths of African-Americans Philando Castile and Alton Sterling in two different states in the US. These brutal police fatal shootings of black men, occurring in the span of 24 hours this week, have stirred again the debate regarding the “Black Lives Matter” movement following the dismay of many on social media after watching the disturbing on-the-moment footage of both killings.
The music world promptly reacted sharing their concern for the obvious inequality that there is with police not treating black people the same they do with white people in America and their hurt for the deaths of Philando Castile and Alton Sterling.
However, one artist still needed to express a point of view on this upsetting situation, and that was Beyoncé. The R&B star, who is currently busy performing “Formation World Tour” concerts in Europe, took a short break to pen an open letter, published on her official website, where she talks about all of these inhuman murders and demands police to “stop killing us”. Beyoncé also asks the black community to raise their voice and for people to actually contact their congress representatives now to try and have justice done once and for all.
