Beyoncé Tributes Orlando Victims With Emotional “Halo” Performance In Detroit [VIDEO]
Queen of everything good Beyoncé honored the victims of the Orlando shooting with a super emotional performance of her hit “Halo” last night (June 14) at her concert in Detroit, Michigan. And she couldn’t have chosen a most special occasion to do this tribute. For yesterday was the very last show of the North American leg of “The Formation World Tour”.
“This is a song about love. This is to all the family members who lost family members in Florida”, Beyoncé told her Detroit fans packing the Ford Field stadium.
As more videos of last night’s “Halo” performance come up on the Internet, one thing becomes pretty clear: last night’s was by far the best performance of “Halo” Beyoncé has ever offered. The emotional was unreal. Having in mind the victims of the Orlando shooting and connecting the lyrics of “Halo” to the tragedy, I’m sure it was pretty impossible for many at the Ford Field to shed a tear or two.
Beyoncé will kick off the European leg of her tour later this month.
