Little Becky G is pulling an ‘Austin Mahone’.

The 18-year-old singer from Inglewood, California, who slayed pop lovers last year with “Shower” but who has futilely tried ever since to get another hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and whose career in on the verge of extinction due to the several flops she’s garnered in the last few months, treated fans today, December 22nd, with a three day-early Christmas present. What she got for us? 3 NEW SONGS! These are: “Stutter”, “Good At It”, and “The Lights”. All three can be streamed unlimitedly on Becky G’s YouTube page. So what do I mean by the Austin Mahone comparison? That Becky G is doing exactly what her ex did recently. If Austin dropped a few days ago a 19-song mixtape, Becky G is also giving fans new music to live on - until her full-length debut is finally hot and ready for release.

Stutter” is actually a cover of 2000 Joe hit featuring Mystikal. Becky G has revamped the whole track and added new lyrics.

Here is a song I re-made with some great friends of mine. Crazy how just hanging out in the studio one day listening to old songs that I loved turned into this. I LOVE this song and wanted to cover it because I felt some type of way.

Good At It” really needs no explanation. The title gives it all away. It hears Becky G telling us how good she’s at it – ‘it’ being you know what. This is an R&B ballad

"GOOD AT IT" is inspired by the new confidence I've found in myself as a woman. I love songs with vibe that make me feel good and sexy.

Becky G needed to vent some things off her chest and “The Lights” is what came out. A powerful R&B jam.

"THE LIGHTS" is a true example of when I say "Music is how I express myself". I wrote this song because I had bottled up things I was feeling and didn't know what else to do other than put it into my work in the studio that day. Writing this helped me a lot. It's not a hype song but it's a song that means a lot to me.

Will Becky G's full-length debut ever see the light of day? Are Dr. Luke's legal issues to blame for the delay? Does Becky G need to get away from Kemosabe?

Thoughts?
