Ariana Grande Announces New Album Is Titled "Dangerous Woman" / Was "Moonlight" A Better Choice?

A couple of months ago singer Ariana Grande mentioned on social media that she debating whether or not to change the title of her third studio album. “Moonlight” was supposed to be the official title but a new contender had come into the scene, and she was hesitating which of the two to ultimately use. Last night (Feb. 22) we found out that “the other one” won the battle. Via Snapchat yesterday the petite chanteuse from Boca Raton, Florida revealed that the official title of her third studio album is…”DANGEROUS WOMAN”. That’s what you can see in the photograph of a whiteboard (where you can see the title of the album and the first song of the tracklist - the song “Moonlight”) that Ariana uploaded on Snapchat on Monday night. Ari was very careful with what she was showing fans in the photo, for she made sure only the new album title, and the first song of the tracklist could be seen. The rest of the tracklist will remain a mystery to her fans until further notice.

The new album title was confirmed later that night on Twitter too when Ariana Grande updated her profile to add on her bio ”DANGEROUS WOMAN”.

Do you like ”DANGEROUS WOMAN” or did you prefer “Moonlight”?

Truth is that I personally think that the title “Moonlight” suited Ariana’s personality better. I just feel that “Dangerous Woman” may be a little too edgy for Ariana (when I think of her I don't picture anything "dangerous"). But anyway, we’ll see if this title suits her or not in the end when the full tracklist is unveiled. I'm seriously expecting some coherence between the songs and the newly-announced album title.

"Dangerous Woman" will be released within the next couple of months (rumor has it that in April) via Republic Records.
