5 Seconds of Summer To Perform at 2014 MTV VMAs... But There's Bad News Too!

Good and bad news for 5SOS fans. Where should I start first? Hmmm!

OK, the good news first. Australia’s 5 Seconds of Summer CONFIRMED today, July 9th, via Twitter that they will be performing at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards on August 24. The nominees aren’t out yet but I bet 1 million dollars (or euros) that MTV will be nominating "She Looks Perfect" on a few categories. This VMA gig is pretty huge for 5SOS. Take this as their big ‘breakthrough’ TV performance in the U.S. They better kill it! Can't wait to watch Taylor, Selena jamming out to "She Looks Perfect"!

But there is bad news too. Given their VMA live appearance, 5 Seconds of Summer are forced to CANCEL two of their ‘support’ dates on One Direction’s U.S leg of their ‘Where We Are’ Tour. Dallas on August 24 (VMAs day) and St. Louis on August 27. I get the Dallas concert cancellation, but why St. Louis? Do they really need three days to recover from all the alcohol intake?
