2014 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show - The Performances (Videos)
Pre-taped exactly one week ago in London, the 2014 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show aired on NBC last night, December 9th. Besides appreciating the new lingerie pieces for the upcoming season from the American fashion retailer, we could also enjoy live performances by the likes of Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Hozier or Ariana Grande. For the record: this was the first time the fashion show was taped outside the U.S. The taping took place at Earl's Court in the British capital.
The performances
Taylor Swift: Tay Tay performed two songs; “Blank Space” and “Style”. I was actually surprised by the selection of “Style”. But I’m glad she did because this song suited the catwalk strutting better than “Blank Space”. Still, I think this was THE moment and place for “Shake It Off”. It would have been so much fun watching the models’ reaction to the song while walking the runaway.
Ariana Grande: Big Sean’s girlfriend performed a super long medley consisting of: “Love Me Harder", “Bang Bang”, “Break Free” and “Problem”. She looked cute and sounded great as always. The only awkward side? Having to constantly see the huge difference in height between Ariana and the Victoria's Secret models.
Ed Sheeran and Hozier: Ed (with guitar at hand) performed “Thinking Out Loud” while Hozier did “Take Me to Church”. Both exquisite live renditions of the ballads.
